Here is a level 66 archer's current build : dual md+8, rogue chitin set +1(rebirth) and dual dex +9 rings, dex +10 belt, dex +9 neck and dual dex +8 earrings. 1. Attack power is very important for archers . If you can afford an iron bow+8 then you can choose that over an EE+7.

2. Archers should mainly focus on DEX bonus and resistance/HP bonus. Since its your task to inflict damage from far away, you should get as much dex as possible for maximum AP .
3. You should always be out of reach for warriors and battlepriests. and you only should worry about other ranged attacks which are archers and mages. This is where AC / HP and resistance come into play. You need enough resistance so you don't get iced/stunned by mages or other archers, and HP and resistance bonus also help compensate some of the damage taken from these chars. Of course there is always magic shield to help counter against mages.

4. Get a 25 DD helmet you can use when a assassin is attempting so surprise you.

5. Avoiding damages by melees. however, many of the good DEX jewelrys also have nice AC bonus :

a quick archer setup:
-ironbow+8
-chitin +8 set
-elf belt +0
-silver earrings
-kekuri rings+2 or something
-priest pendant+1

If you feel you are getting iced too much, mix it up a bit with jewels with better resistances like judicious belt instead of elf belt , warrior pendant instead of PP etc .

This a basic PK setup. Eventually, when you go 70+, you will want to own better items like a weapon defence belt, and better all round rings like ROLs etc. so you can take more hits from the big guys. However these items will cost a lot of knight noah and decrease your attack power. Which is why having a bow with High AP is important for any archer.
